Excel: Create a named group of cells

Create a named group of cells to be used in formulas or to quickly navigate back to the group. To do so, first, select the group of cells to be named. In this case, we will use a list of supplies.

Next, click inside the Name Box, located in the upper left hand corner of the spreadsheet.

Type in the name for the selected cells, with no spaces, even if you have multiple words. Once done, you must hit the Enter to save the name.

Now, this group name is available to use. To use as a way to navigate back to the group, click the dropdown arrow in the Name Box and click the name.
